Looking for a storage boost? Crucial is your best bet

Crucial T500 Cyber Monday deal image

We’ve been a bit disappointed with SSD deals over Black Friday. Although 1TB drives have typically come down to the $60 mark for big sales events during 2023, we’ve struggled to find any of our go-to recommendations down any lower than $80.

Luckily, if you’re in the market for a 1TB storage boost for your PS5 or PC, this offer from Newegg has you covered. We’re yet to test this T500 model, but if it’s anything like Crucial’s other NVMe SSDs, it’s bound to give you excellent performance for the money. It comes with an integrated heatsink, so your installation on a PS5 will be nice and easy, too.

It can be yours for just $64.99 at Newegg right now. Seeing as it only launched earlier in the year, that’s a pretty great deal.

Price check: Amazon $64.99 (backorder)

PSA: The best Meta Quest 3 deal is at Newegg right now

Meta Quest 3's face play and 3 central camera modules

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

This is a hold-over from Black Friday, so here’s a friendly reminder that if you’re shopping around for a new Meta Quest 3 this Cyber Monday, the best offer currently sits at Newegg.

You won’t get a discount here, but you can still make the most of the Quest 3’s launch bundle. That means if you opt for the 128GB SKU, you’ll get a free code for Asgard’s Wrath 2 when it launches in December. If you go for the 512GB model, you’ll get Asgard’s Wrath 2, plus a six-month membership for Meta Quest+, which will net you free games every month just like PlayStation Plus.

That’s all true wherever you buy a Quest 3 just now, but Newegg is also offering a $15 Meta Quest Gift Card with the $499.99 headset, and a $25 Meta Quest gift card with any purchase of the larger $649.99 version.

It’s hard to argue with free money!

Buy it if:

✅ You want a VR headset with mixed-reality features
✅ You don’t already own a PS5 and play most games on there
✅ You want store credit to buy Meta Quest games

Don’t buy it if:

❌ You’d get more use out of PSVR 2
❌ You aren’t a fan of Meta’s data mining

Price check: Meta $499.99 | Best Buy $499.99 | Amazon $499 | $499 at Walmart

And now for something completely different: The Azeron Cyborg

Azeron keypad

What is this strange-looking androide claw, I hear you ask? Simply put, it’s a personalized gaming keypad that blurs the lines between a typical keyboard and a pro controller. It’s for use on PC, and while you rest one hand in this funny-looking cradle, you use your other to control a mouse, as you would usually.

By creating custom profiles and performing simple twitches of your fingers, you control the games you play in a way that suits you. Since it’s designed to compliment your hand’s natural resting position, it’s extremely comfortable for longer sessions.

If you’ve ever struggled to get to grips with using the WASD keys, this ingenious device is down to its lowest-ever price for Cyber Monday at Amazon, going for just $175.

Buy it if:

✅ You play on PC and have never felt comfortable on a typical keyboard
✅ You’re converting from playing on a console
✅ You want a more comfortable way of playing PC games

Don’t buy it if:

❌ You’d find creating custom profiles a faff
❌ You don’t like thumbstick movement

Where are all the Cyber Monday RTX 4080 deals?

RTX 4080 with sad text face and teal backdrop

We’ve been holding for RTX 4080 deals to emerge ever since Zotac’s take on the graphics card dropped to $989.99 at Amazon last month. Sadly, we’ve yet to actually see any other models drop below $1,000 for either Black Friday or Cyber Monday, but there are a few versions out there with factory overclocks and custom coolers for less. So you’re aware of what’s what, here’s a wee list of some of the current offers below, but perhaps we’ll see some triple digit options before the seasonal sale is over:

MSI GeForce RTX 4080 + Alan Wake 2 | $1,279.99 $1,199.99 at Newegg

Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4080 Trinity OC | $1,299.99 $1,129.99 at Amazon

GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4080 Gaming OC | $1,269.99 $1,189.99 at Best Buy

ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 ROG Strix | $1,469 $1,399 at B&H Photo

Of course, we’ll be continually searching for RTX 4080 offers, and our Cyber Monday GPU deals hub has plenty of alternatives that’ll potentially fit the bill!

Not played Final Fantasy 16 yet? Cyber Monday can help you become a RPG Kaiju for less!

Final Fantasy 16

It’s been a busy year for big releases, so we totally get it if you haven’t got round to Final Fantasy 16 yet. However, now that it’s half price at Amazon, now is arguably the perfect time to do so. The Cyber Monday discount slashes the RPG down to just $35, and it’s going to please anyone who loves a ridiculous role playing romp. We’re talking big epic monster battles, more magic than you can shake a staff at, and sweet hair-dos, not to mention plenty of side quests to keep you busy over the holidays.

Buy it if:

✅ You love single player RPGs
✅ You prefer action over menu driven mechanics
✅ You normally enjoy Final Fantasy games

Don’t buy it if:

❌You’d prefer old school mechanics
❌You haven’t got the time for a big RPG

One of our favorite Nintendo Switch controller add-ons is now even cheaper

Nitro Deck in Purple retro colour showing Super Smash Bros ultimate

(Image credit: Future / Duncan Robertson)

Ever wished your Switch felt a bit more like a Steam Deck? Well, check this thing out! The CRKD Nitro Deck slides over Nintendo’s handheld, swapping out Joycons for a fully fledged cúmulo of buttons and sticks, and it’s down to $49.99 thanks to a 17% Cyber Monday discount.

Not only does this big gamepad add some back buttons, it’s got antesala effect joysticks, meaning you won’t have to worry about the horrors of stick drift down the road. There’s even a limited edition version of the Nitro Deck that pays homage to the purple Nintendo GameCube, and it’s also down from $89.99 to $69.99. Not everyone’s going to opt for the latter just to dress their Switch up like a 2000s console, but if you’re anything like me, that’s exactly what you’ll do.

Buy it if:

✅ You want to boost handheld comfort
✅ You’re fed up of stick drift
✅ You wish your Switch felt like a Steam Deck

Don’t buy it if:

❌ You prefer lighter handhelds
❌ You mostly play Switch using docked mode

This gaming PC offers up Nvidia RTX superpowers for under $1,000!

White and black CyberpowerPC with navy backdrop

Finding a gaming rig for under $1,000 that can blitz through the latest games is harder than you’d think, especially if you want to max out settings. However, that’s not to say such deals don’t exist, as Best Buy has knocked $200 off its RTX 4060 CyberPowerPC for Cyber Monday, bringing it down to $899.99. It’s also kitted out with a AMD Ryzen 5 7600 CPU, 16GB RAM, and a 2TB SSD, so you’ll be able to tell demanding system requirements to go suck a lemon.

We’ve tested a bunch of the latest graphics cards, and while the RTX 4060 is entry-level, it’s surprisingly capable at 1080p. Not only that, but it can also tap into Nvidia DLSS 3.5, the latest version of the GPU makers AI upscaling suite that can help you play at 1440p and even 4K depending on the game. Effectively, the limitations of physical hardware are somewhat blurred this days, and even an affordable PC like the one above could help you jump into the latest releases without any compromise.

Buy it if:

✅ You want to play the latest games at 1080p
✅ You’d like to dabble with higher resolutions
✅ You’ve got a chonky Steam library

Don’t buy it if:

❌ You’d rather not use DLSS to fill in performance gaps
❌ You’re itching to buy a proper 4K system

Psst, this device could improve your Switch, and it’s down for Cyber Monday!

Marseille mClassic upscaler next to Nintendo Switch

Not to dunk on the mighty Nintendo Switch, but its visuals aren’t the cleanest when spread across a huge TV at 1080p. Thankfully, doohickeys like the Marseille mClassic exist – a plug and play HDMI upscaler that promises to ramp things up to 1440p and spruce things up using anti-aliasing. It’s currently down from $99.99 to $79.99 at Amazon, and it might distract you from waiting for the Nintendo Switch Pro for a little longer.

It’s worth noting that the mClassic isn’t just for Nintendo Switch, as if you’re planning on visiting slightly older consoles like the Xbox 360 or PS3, it’s going to deal with those jaggy edges found in some classics. Hell, it’s even got a switch that caters to proper retro consoles from the 16 and 32-bit era, but I’d personally stick to 2D content with this device. In any case, it’s going to save your eyes from the horrors of older visuals, and Cyber Monday will help make the process cheaper.

Buy it if:

✅ You want to improve Switch visuals
✅ You’ve still got older consoles to hand

Don’t buy it if:

❌ You want to upscale 2D sprite games
❌ You typically play the Switch in handheld mode

Looking for a handheld PC that isn’t chonky? We’ve got you!

Ayaneo Air Pro with navy backdrop

Look, we love the Steam Deck as much as the next handheld nerd, but it’s a big boi. So, if you’d rather scale things back in the name of a Switch-sized footprint, you’re going to want to check out the Ayaneo Air PRO. It’s down from $999.99 to $674.99 for Prime Members right now at Amazon, and it’ll run a chunk of your Steam library while only taking up as much room as Nintendo’s portable console.

That said, the Air Pro has more strings on its bow, as it’s also immune to stick drift thanks to its antesala effect joysticks, and wields 5.5-inch OLED screen. Ultimately, if it’s raw portable performance you seek, you’re still going to want to consider something like the Asus ROG Ally instead. However, if you’ve got a big backlog of classics and indies on your PC gaming list, consider this lighter, premium alternative!

Buy it if:

✅ You want premium performance
✅ You’re looking for an OLED screen

Don’t buy it if:

❌ You’re looking for refined handheld software
❌ You’d need a bigger screen

Our favorite Switch deal so far

Nintendo Switch OLED review

Along with PlayStation and Xbox, Nintendo Switch has been a big winner this Cyber Monday. You can currently get the OLED model (the Super Smash Bros. version, no less), Super Smash Bros. itself, and three months of Nintendo Switch online for just $349 at Walmart. That’s absurdly good value.

Our second favorite offer right now

Xbox Series X lying horizontally with an Xbox Wireless controller leaning up against it in a TV unit

Didn’t think we’d leave you Xbox gamers out, did you? The Series X with the latest Diablo game is a massive $120 less than corriente right now – it’s $439 at Walmart instead of nearly $560. Lovely stuff – an excellent price for an excellent console.

The best offer we’ve seen (so far)

Two PS5 Slims standing vertically, one with a disc drive and one without.

This is probably our favorite Cyber Monday deal for gamers so far. Knocking around $70 off the price of a PS5 Slim with Modern Warfare 3 (it’s $499.99 at Best Buy rather than $570), it’s an absolute bargain for those wanting to grab Sony’s console for the first time, or anyone in need of an upgrade.

«He’s the leader of the bunch, you know him well…»

Lego Donkey Kong's Tree House set with Mario on DK's back, being played with by a child

Well hello, what have we here? One of the most beloved Nintendo characters in Iletrado form, at their lowest price? Lovely stuff. You can get Iletrado Donkey Kong for just $47.99 at Amazon instead of $59.99, so if you’re looking for a desk buddy or you need a gift for a loved-one, now’s the time to strike.

Gotta catch [all the deals]

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Mew & Mewtwo event

Do you have happy memories of the flamante Pokemon games? Did you collect all 151 in Red, Blue, and Yellow? Well, now you can revisit your favorite pocket monsters with this special 151 card pack. It’s available for $95.99 at Amazon instead of nearly $120, and that’s just a few cents off its lowest price.

Like a mirage

Assassin's Creed Mirage

Want to catch up with the Assassin order? You can get the latest installment in the series, Mirage, for a huge discount – $20 off. It’s available for $39.99 at Best Buy rather than almost $60, and we certainly weren’t expecting such a good price this soon after release.

Ally yourself with this ROG Ally deal

Want to take your games on the go? Best Buy has you covered with this $100 discount. The ROG Ally is currently $599.99 instead of $699.99, so it’s one of the better Cyber Monday deals for gamers we’ve seen so far.

A weird and wonderful tabletop adventure

The enigmatic Lady of Pain from Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse

Let’s go old-school for a second – you can currently grab one of the latest Dungeons & Dragons sets, Planescape, for its lowest ever price for $50.99 at Amazon rather than almost $85. If you’ve been enjoying the adventures of Baldur’s Gate 3, this takes things to the next level with a wonderfully weird cosmic quest.

One for the UK folks!

Nintendo Switch OLED hands-on

While the US is still waking up this fine Sunday morning, I thought I’d shout out this Nintendo Switch OLED bundle at Very. It’s one of the few OLED bundles I’ve seen floating around the web this weekend, but it’s the best value I’ve seen in a long time. You’re getting the OLED console itself for just £299 – that’s already a £10 discount on the £309.99 MSRP. However, on top of that there’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe included and three months of Nintendo Switch Online as well.

Who is already on Cyber Monday mode?

Sunday is when we generally see retailers switching up from Black Friday to Cyber Monday, and while the deals are generally the same over the weekend it’s worth noting who has changed their flags already. These stores could be a little quicker to drop new discounts today.

Retailers on Cyber Monday in the US

Amazon

Best Buy

Walmart

Target

Interestingly enough I’m seeing retailers in the US go all in on Cyber Monday already, whereas the UK is still very much on that Black Friday hype.

Are Cyber Monday deals better than Black Friday?

The short answer is Cyber Monday deals don’t tend to be better than Black Friday. Any stock that still remains on the shelves leftover from Black Friday is simply used for the same discounts on Cyber Monday, with a few odd additional discounts on unpopular colorways. Black Friday is generally a better time to shop for savings because there’s more stock available – Cyber Monday is when we see far lower availability. However, I’ve noticed stock holding out particularly well in this year’s discounts so far – which means this year’s second sale is already looking better than ever.

What’s Cyber Monday all about?

Cyber Monday is the second annual sale of November, running some of last week’s biggest Black Friday offers as well as a selection of new savings. We generally see the same kinds of price drops here as we have over the last week, but it represents another opportunity to save on some of the year’s biggest tech. Essentially, we’re up for round two for anyone who missed out on previous offers.

Good morning and welcome to the next round of annual sales! I’m here to guide you through all the biggest Cyber Monday deals for gamers over the next two days, and considering I’ve already been impressed by this year’s Black Friday offers things are already looking strong. You’ll find all my top picks from the discounts already live up above, but I’ll also be bringing you all my tips and tricks for making the most of the sale, as well as any new discounts that drop, in this live coverage.
